چکیده
Abstract This paper reports the effectiveness of chemical coagulation and biological techniques for treatment wastewater from industrial agricultural operations. Agricultural husbandry has been reported to produce that high content oxygen demand (COD), (BOD), turbidity as well organic inorganic pollutants. A comparison on use based coagulants optimum conditions required percentage removal efficiency pollutants reviewed. At experimental condition, ferric chloride were yield 98, 95, 93 50 % color, turbidity, iron manganese. Moreover, coagulation, electrocoagulation methods have display a close range in their capacities removing wastewater. However, method was observed be highly effective but requires more time produces lesser volume sludge, when compared

Physico-Chemical and Biological Treatment of Olive Mill Wastewater by Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) Reactors
The removal performance of total poly phenols and orthodiphenols (o-diphenols) content in olive mill waste (OMW) was investigated with a three stages cross flow laboratory scale rotating biological contactor (RBC) in the present study. Due to high COD and other pollutant in the original OMW, physico-chemical treatment was effected for COD and other pollutant reduction prior to biological tr...
متن کاملSlaughterhouse Wastewater Treatment by Combined Chemical Coagulation and Electrocoagulation Process
Slaughterhouse wastewater contains various and high amounts of organic matter (e.g., proteins, blood, fat and lard). In order to produce an effluent suitable for stream discharge, chemical coagulation and electrocoagulation techniques have been particularly explored at the laboratory pilot scale for organic compounds removal from slaughterhouse effluent. The purpose of this work was to investig...
متن کاملBiological and Chemical Filter Treatment for Wastewater Reuse
This study developed a high efficient and combined biological and chemical filter treatment process. This process used PAC (Powder Activated Carbon), Alum and attached growth treatment process. The system removals of total nitrogen and total phosphorus ratio of two were as high as 70% and 73%, moreover, the effluent water was suitable to urban and agricultural water. Also the advantages of this...
متن کاملCombined biological and physico-chemical treatment of baker’s yeast wastewater
The UASB reactor (35 C) was quite efficient for removal of bulk COD (52–74%) from the raw and diluted cultivation medium from the first separation process of baker’s yeasts (the average organic loading rates varied in the range 3.7–16 g COD/l/d). The aerobic-anoxic biofilter (19–23 8C) can be used for removal of remaining BOD and ammonia from anaerobic effluents; however, it had insufficient CO...
متن کاملEfficiency of electrical coagulation process using aluminum electrodes for municipal wastewater treatment: a case study at Karaj wastewater treatment plant
Background: The reuse of treated municipal wastewater is an important source of water for different ,purposes. This study evaluated the efficiency of the electrocoagulation process in removing turbidity,a total suspended solids (TSS), chemical oxygen demand (COD), nitrate, and phosphate from wastewater at the treatment facility in Karaj, Iran. Methods: This experimental study was performed at ...
